Electrolysis

Electrolysis has been used for permanent hair removal for over 130 years. It is proven safe and effective in the hands of a skilled electrologist. C-Results uses a single use sterile disposable needle that is gently introduced into the hair follicle. A small electrical current is emitted to destroy the source of hair growth which may result in a pinching sensation. The intensity can be modified for your comfort but the hair should release from the follicle fairly easily with tweezers for the treatment to be effective. A topical anesthesia can also be used as an option if needed.

The length of your electrolysis treatment may last from a few minutes, to an hour depending on the amount of hair being treated. The process is slow as you can only treat one hair at a time. Laser may be best for larger body areas. Hairs in the active growth phase (referred to as anagen) are most affected by both laser and electrolysis. All hair is not in this phase at the same time; therefore more than one treatment will be necessary to receive the best results.

The appearance of the treatment area immediately following will vary from client to client but may include redness and swelling around the hair follicles. This is a desired clinical result and indicates that the follicle has responded well to the treatment. Most people return to normal actively right away. We will be happy to tell more about your specific treatment and what results you can expect during your free consultation.
