C-Results laser is a real laser with real results, not an IPL. It is FDA approved for "permanent hair reduction."

How Does It Work

C-Results laser produces a beam of highly concentrated light. The light is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) located in the hair. The laser pulses for a fraction of a second heating up the pigment in the hair, disabling several follicles at one time with each pulse of light. The laser is appropriate for treating even the largest areas of the body such as the back and legs both quickly and effectively. Facial hair such as lip and chin can be treated in minutes.

An important part of the procedure is the cooling of the skin. A special contact-cooling hand piece allows C-Results to treat all skin including the most sensitive skin. It protects and cools the upper layer of the skin while directing the laser energy down to the hair follicle.

What You Can Expect

C-Results provide a thorough private consultation prior to your initial treatment. Your consultation will include a medical history, skin typing, expectations, consent form, pre-treatment protocol and post care instructions.

The length of your laser treatment may last from a few minutes, to an hour or more depending on the size of the area being treated. Hairs in the active growth phase (referred to as anagen) are most affected by the laser. All hair is not in this phase at the same time; therefore more than one treatment will be necessary to receive the best results.

When treated, you well be given special glasses to wear, the area will be cleansed, shaved (if not already shaved) and a clear gel well be applied to the treatment area. Through the Chilltip handpiece, gentle pulses of light are emitted which may result in a pinching sensation. C-Results well be looking for positive clinical end points and well be asking you for your feedback on how the treatment feels. The intensity can be modified for your comfort. A topical anesthesia can also be used as an option if needed.

The appearance of the treatment area immediately following will vary from client to client but may include redness and swelling around the hair follicles. This is a desired clinical result and indicates that the follicle has responded well to the treatment. Most people return to normal actively right away.
